Economist | Director of Financial Analysis

 

Emily Jacob is an economist based in FK Economics’ Santiago office. Ms. Jacob holds a degree in Business and Economics with major in Economics from Universidad of Chile and studied economics and finance for six months at the University of Mannheim, Germany.

She has been dedicated mainly to economic and financial consulting, preparing expert reports for clients such as companies and law firms, both national and international. Some of these reports have been presented in litigation, and commercial and investment arbitration cases.

Her experience covers topics such as antitrust, post-M&A damages, quantum of damages, valuations, public policy, market research, among others. 

Emily has worked in industries such as transportation, supermarkets, energy, retail, telecommunications, real estate and construction, cemeteries and funeral homes, ports, dairy, household appliances and chemical industries, among others.

In addition, Ms. Jacob has worked on the publication of the research papers “Damaged subways and preferences in the 2020 Chilean referendum” and “Effects of ICSID Membership on Attracting Foreign Investment”.

Emily completed with honors the Advanced Valuation course taught by Professor Aswath Damodaran at NYU Stern School of Business.

  • Bachelor´s degree in Business and Economics with major in Economics, Universidad de Chile.
